Price Transparency & Cost of Care

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Guideline:

CMS requires hospitals to comply with the Transparency Requirement of the Affordable Care Act. Since January 2019, hospitals, including critical access hospitals like Tomah Health, must make available a list of their current standard charges to the public.

  • Via the internet
  • In a machine-readable format
  • Must update this information at least annually, or more often as appropriate
