Auxiliary Supports New Hospital Project

The Tomah Health Auxiliary has pledged $50,000 to the new Tomah Health facility under construction on Tomah’s south side.

Auxiliary president Richard Yarrington said the organization agreed to gift $10,000 a year over the next five years toward the construction project.

Hospital CEO Phil Stuart said the contribution is another example of how the Auxiliary has supported Tomah Health over the years. “The Auxiliary has always been there to back the hospital and the health of our community,” said Stuart. He added that the recent pledge will be earmarked for construction of a gift shop to be located inside the new facility.

The TH Auxiliary has been in existence for more than 60 years, and sponsored its first gift shop in the basement of the hospital in May 1952.

The volunteer organization has 75 members that support the hospital through fundraisers, plus sales at the group’s current gift shop in the main lobby at the hospital and its Auxiliary Bargain Corner (ABC) re-sale store located in downtown Tomah.
