The Tomah Health Community Foundation is teeing up details of this year’s annual golf outing to support area wellness.
Foundation president Brian Eirschele said this year’s golf outing is scheduled Aug. 9 at the Hiawatha Golf Club, Tomah. “We are very excited to continue a 28-year tradition with our annual golf outing, which is our largest fundraising activity to enhance wellness and health care in our area,” said Eirschele.
He said golfers can register for the 18-hole team scramble, which will also include a $25,000 hole-in-one event sponsored by Tap House Twenty of Tomah, and $2,500 putting contest supported by CCF Bank – this year’s outing sponsor. “Thanks to CCF Bank and our other sponsors, the outing has been one of the premiere golf events over the years. We are looking forward to another wonderful event as a way to support local health care and wellness programs.”
Over the past years, the event has helped to financially support activities of the foundation, including– more than $80,000 in education scholarships, while helping various groups like the Tomah Police K-9, Viterbo Foot Care Clinic, Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry of Tomah, Second Harvest Food Bank, Boys & Girls Club, Junior Achievement, Tomah Health Land a Hand program and Treasured Chests of Monroe County. “This continues to be our biggest fundraising event and a way for us to continue our local mission.”
Eirschele added that the outing will begin with registration at 10 a.m. followed by golf at 11 a.m. The event will also feature auctions, a social hour, and a catered dinner. He said team registration has been mailed to past teams, but new teams are always welcome to take part.
